Location: Portland, OR (97211) FT/PT Status: Full Time Shift: Night- 4:00 pm start time Hourly Rate: DOE United Salad Co. is a regional produce distributor and is one of the largest independently owned product distribution channels in the Pacific Northwest. United Salad is seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Our shop services and maintains a fleet of over 200 vehicles. As our fleet grows, our established crew of mechanics grows with it! Responsibilities: • Diagnose, adjust, and repair class 8 trucks and refer trailers. • Maintain and service all equipment to Federal DOT standards. • Inspect and replace worn brake components. Experience with steering and suspension systems desirable. • Job duties will include the use of hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, power tools, pneumatic wrenches and jacks. • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment. Qualifications: • One year of truck and/or trailer repair. • United Salad Co. offers competitive pay for a qualified applicant. Applicants must be 18+ years of age and have a valid driver license.
