Do you have a passion for architectural woodworking? Versatile Wood Products specializes in historically accurate custom wood windows, doors, cabinetry and millwork. Our portfolio includes iconic buildings throughout Portland as well as residential projects throughout the region. We are looking for a bench carpenter for high end residential and commercial shop work. Minimum Requirements - Most important: a positive attitude with teamwork skills. Experience and competence with typical shop tools and equipment. Have ability to read shop drawings. Be familiar with the workflow in a production environment. Responsibilities - Under supervision of the foreman, build product to client specifications. Maintain shop OSHA safety standards and prioritize safety at all times. Be deadline driven and brisk at your work while maintaining an eye for quality and accuracy. Not required, but desired - Ability to be forklift certified Valid driver's license, ability to help with delivery driving if called upon. Be familiar with standards and practices for custom joinery. A pre-employment drug test is required.  Criminal background and professional references will be verified.
