Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic is in need of a caring professional who can take care of our clients and their pets. Experience preferred but not required to apply. We are looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done. We are a small animal veterinary office in the heart of east TN. Seymour is a small community with beautiful mountain views and just 30 minutes away from knoxville, sevierville, and alcoa TN. Our clinic consists of 1 full time vet/owner and 1 part time veterinarian. We offer a laid back supportive personal atmosphere but focus on a high level of care for our patients. We are flexible in scheduling. We are a growing clinic and pay an hourly wage to allow for scheduling flexibility and to prevent overworking salaried employees. We do have bonus structures and opportunities. We also have an excellent support team and frequently do group activities for team building like play badminton, have painting with a twist nights, and holiday potlucks. We currently currently only see canine and feline patients Tattoos and non-natural hair color are accepted as long as the knowledge can back up the appearance :) We are also happy to work with working mom/dad schedules. Assistant Duties: Walking dogs, kennel boarding duties, laundry, restraining pets for procedures or medications, checking clients into exams and surgery, light bathing and lots of poop clean up of course. Janitorial duties for kennel and clinic also expected. Please email resumes to [email protected] Pay starts at $11/hour if little experience with a merit based raise at 90 days and then yearly raise. For experienced technicians pay is negotiable. We are looking for Monday-thursday 8am-5:30p and Fridays 8-4pm. Benefits after 90 days include discounted pet food and vet care, human vision/dental insurance (medical not offered at this time). Vacation, sick and holiday pay accrued after 1 year of employment.
