Wilder School District 133 419 Huff Rd Wilder, Idaho 83676 Notice of Vacancy POSITION: Custodial/Grounds - Maintenance Supervisor – In Training QUALIFICATIONS: • 2 to 5 years experience in similar field • Strong communication, mathematical and problem-solving skills • Proven mechanical skills • Valid Idaho drivers license and good driving record PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Technical training and knowledge of HVAC and energy management system • Assembles (from schematic drawings) and installs various electrical components such as motors, lighting fixtures and electrical panels knowledge. • Trouble-shoots electrical circuits using volt meters, amp-meters and other instrumentation to isolate defective components and make necessary repairs knowledge preferred REQUIREMENTS: • Have the necessary aptitudes for work, i.e., self-starter, needs a minimum of direction or supervision • Monitor visually or by computer HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Repair or arrange for larger repairs by outside vendors as needed. • Directs maintenance staff on daily repairs and or larger projects • Assign, oversee and follow up on all work orders submitted by staff • Maintain buildings, as needed on a daily basis. • Install, maintain and repair school equipment such as cabinets, shelves, tables, gym equipment, etc. • Monitor security of buildings including windows, door locks and monitor safety of buildings including parking lots and roof areas. • Respond to after hours emergencies if needed • Work in support of custodians at all schools. • Plows snow at all sites, using a District supplied vehicle, when required • Accurately orders and accounts for material and labor relative to assignments. • Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines • Performs general maintenance work inside and outside the physical plant such as ceiling, roof, electrical, plumbing, concrete, masonry, glazing, insulation, tile and pump and fan repairs • Ability to work from scaffolds and ladders in excavations and tunnels and in extremes of environmental conditions • Will evaluate other maintenance staff in accordance with District policies and procedures • Positive attitude by appearance, neatness, habits, and punctuality • Communicate and work cooperatively with other members of the staff and community • Other duties as assigned by supervisor PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires the ability to lift, pull and carry parts or equipment of up to 75 pounds and to push up to 75 pounds and to climb ladders and maneuver into cramped spaces. Also strong visual skills for monitoring equipment, observing color-coded items, and reading blueprints are required. Must be able to travel between buildings and may be on call in case of emergency situations. Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions as needed. JOB DESCRIPTION: Available upon Request SALARY: Non-certified Salary Schedule / $15.00 per hour *Upon successful completion of training and on the job experience the salary increase will be negotiated.
