North Terrace Property Management is continuing to add to our portfolio of apartment buildings in the Midtown area. But we are still a small company (about 1000 units--mostly in Midtown), so we need people with the drive, ambition, and skill to do it all! We now have an opening for a Maintenance Technician Duties vary widely, but include day-to-day maintenance at our apartment communities, including: - Maintenance - Light electrical and light plumbing - Painting and carpentry work - repair and other preventative maintenance of an apartment community both interior and exterior as needed/requested - Keep accurate records regarding expenses, work orders, inspections, and inventories - Participate in emergency maintenance schedule for evening, weekend, & holiday coverage HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry skills (IS A PLUS) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and independently, with a minimum of supervision. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school education or equivalent - Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience - Able to lift and carry 50# - Ability to read & interpret documents, math ability & reasoning ability - Reliable transportation and tools, able to travel between properties as needed. - Good "people skills", but enjoys working independently, has a positive "can-do" attitude, and a great work ethic This is a FULL TIME position, Monday thru Friday 9 am to 5 pm (MAY INCLUDE SOME WEEKENDS). Your hourly pay will be based on skills and experience.
