JOB DESCRIPTION The FULL/PART TIME Service Technician is responsible for the floor/hard surface restoration work in homes and businesses and ensuring that the customer is completely satisfied with the service performed. The candidate must be exceptional when dealing with customers. It's a "hands-on" role where you will be using our unique machinery and materials to restore and reseal floors, showers, countertops, and other hard surface areas that are damaged and in need of beautifying. This is not an office position. This role is critical because it is the position that performs and implements all of Sir Grout's restoration services. Floors, showers, countertops, and other hard surfaces are damaged every day and they require constant and regular cleaning, sealing, and restoration. Our services are in great demand as people continuously look for high-quality cleaning and resealing processes for their floors rather than having them replaced. The FT Service Technician position is vital for the future growth of our company. The primary focus of this position will be on ceramic and porcelain tile and natural stone surfaces such as marble, travertine, granite, slate, flagstone, and others. We are seeking an individual who preferably has prior experience in working with tile and stone surfaces and is committed to learning our processes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Show up on-time for each job, and complete an initial walk-through with the customer. - Perform all quoted tasks for the customer to their complete satisfaction. - Answer any questions for the customer calmly and politely (the customer is always right) - Conduct a final, thorough walk-through inspection with the customer. - Collect full payment for the work and have the customer sign-off on the invoice. - Call in with a full update before leaving the job site. AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE SHOULD HAVE: - Preferred 1-year experience working on floors, showers, and other hard surfaces. - Stone Restoration experience highly desired but not required - Must be trainable; able to follow specific instructions. Able to lift heavy equipment (75 lbs.). - Available weekdays, occasional Saturdays, and some evenings. - A working cell phone, and a car is required - Previous tile installation, construction background, and sales experience all a major PLUS. - *MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST.* *- A CLEAN DRIVER RECORD - A FLORIDA MVR IS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT - A "customer first" attitude and an ability to interact professionally with customers. - Previous experience working with tile including installations and grouting is a plus - Previous experience working with natural stone such as marble, granite, travertine, etc. is a plus - Some experience working with a 175rpm floor machine or "swing machine" would be ideal - Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Must be meticulous and organized. - Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision. - Reliable work ethic, honest, and on time. Especially on time! COMPENSATION - Salary starts at $15 an hour, leading to progressive commission-based compensation. POSITION LOGISTICS - Location: Position covers all of Duval, St John’s, Nassau, and Clay counties - Environment: Mostly inside homes and businesses (95%); some outdoor (5%) - Equipment: Provided by Sir Grout - Materials: Provided by Sir Grout - Must have your own vehicle and smartphone
