Available Shifts Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Shift: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Shift: 7:00 pm – 3:30 am Job Description Veterans Distribution of Chicago in Hillside, IL is seeking a Warehouse/Forklift Operators are responsible for a variety of warehouse duties. Under general supervision, performs manual labor duties in loading and unloading freight onto and off trucks. Employee is responsible for loading furniture and other merchandise onto trucks for shipment and unloading trucks delivering goods to the warehouse. Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager. Job Qualifications: Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language. Forklift certification. Excellent organizational skills. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of proper safety measures. Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs. You are able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation. You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation. Positive Attitude, attention to detail, high-level of customer service, and ability to multi-task. Job Type: Full-time, Monday thru Friday Experience: Forklift Operator: 2 year (Preferred) License: Certified Forklift Operator The salary is commensurate with experience.
