GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: ______________________________________________________________ The Ranch is now seeking a part-time ranch and events assistant who is energetic, personable and is able to work mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings during weekdays and weekends. Strong work ethic and pride in work are important to us. Must be able to work within the United States, have a valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle. This position is ideal for young professionals that want to gain experience in the events and agriculture industry. • May be required to work evenings and weekends. • Flexible schedule. • On Call. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ______________________________________________________________ Ranch Work: • Assisting with landscaping and gardening at the farm. • Assisting with projects related to avocado trees and vines. • Assisting with projects related to construction. • Use basic hand tools. • Dig holes for poles and trenches. • Prop up trees/branches with wooden 2x4’s. • Remove dead trees/deadwood. • Remove dead fruit in Vineyards. • Work in steep hills. • Work predominantly outdoors in all types of weather. • Basic building maintenance. • Clean/scrub various outdoor areas. • Lift weights up to 50 pounds. Events: • Assisting Coordination team, clients, and vendors to help make events run smoothly. • Setting-up and breaking down after events. • Post Event cleanup. • Enforce parking restrictions inside and outside the property. • Help to place furniture, decorations, and equipment in designated areas. • Checking/moving inventory of tissue paper, paper towels, and soap in restrooms. • Washing flatware and glassware during events. QUALIFICATIONS: ____________________________________________________________________________ • Need to have common sense knowledge about events. • Must be able to take direction and have attention to detail. • Must be able to use hand tools. • Must be able to work consistently on repetitive tasks, be on time and responsible. • Must have a reliable vehicle.
