We are recruiting for CDL-A Drivers/Heavy Equipment Operators Responsibilities • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspection of trucks, trailers, and equipment. • Transports equipment to job sites. • Operates equipment (cranes, backhoes, digger derrick truck, dump truck, excavators, etc.). • Works with hydraulic tools, hand tools, and electrical tools. • Performs manual labor as needed to accomplish work and meet job accomplishment expectations. • Responsible for keeping work-site, vehicles, equipment and tools are safe, clean and ready for use. • Must be flexible/work-ready to perform tasks for other departments/locations as may be required to meet needs. • Follows all required safety policies and procedures. • Other duties as assigned. What You Need To Succeed • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a good driving record. • Experience operating heavy equipment: backhoe, excavator, digger derrick truck, etc. • Display strong adherence to safety policies and procedures. • Able to read, write and speak English Benefits: • Medical, Dental, Vision • Drive-time • Overtime PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Constantly on feet • Walking / carrying loads on uneven surfaces and in ballast. • Working in ALL weather conditions. • Working extended hours. • Constant bending, twisting, stooping, standing and / or walking. • Regular lifting of up to 100 pounds; Obtains assistance when lifting items weighing more than 125 pounds, or items which present ergonomic challenges in lifting/movement/placement Experience: Class A CDL, 1 year (Preferred) Truck Driving, 1 year (Preferred) Education: High school or equivalent (Required) License: Class A CDL (Required) Tanker endorsement (Preferred)
