Silkie rooster needs a new home

This beautiful white silkie named Nelson is looking for a new home. Unfortunately we are not zoned for roosters, we were able to keep him for a year but our neighbors are not fans of him crowing so he needs to go. Nelson is 1 year old, born last April and purchased from an amazing silkie breeder. He was hand raised by my kids and is people friendly. He is very protective of his ladies and spends his days watching for predators. He is for the most part ok with all people but can get protective when kids start being a little too rumbustious around his ladies. He is very gentle with baby chicks. Our flock is clean and healthy. Nelson will go to a pet only home, no pot for this fella. We are in Chicopee, western Mass but willing to drive within reason for the right home for him. We would also love to be able to see pictures of him once in a while as he will be missed by us.
