ISO the right individual to learn and assist the installation of custom draperies. Job duties would be to help keep shop organized with hardware orders, drapery orders, clean shop, take out trash from both shops. This person will need to be self motivated. Once you have learned the routine of what needs to be done we will not have the time to micro manage you will need to stay busy. You will be given time to learn the installation from owner. The owner goes out and measures the jobs, the ladies in sewing room create the treatment at which time the installation is scheduled. Our jobs take us in to some very high in homes. You do not have to dress up for this position, clean shorts, shirt and tennis shoes are acceptable. This individual needs to be able to use hand tools; drill, screw gun, know fractions, be able to read a measuring tape, lift heavy objects, have good manners, have a clean driving record and most importantly be dependable. There will be days that we will not have installs scheduled on those days this person will need to help in sewing room. Tag and bag orders, empty trash, and assist in the sewing room with anything the ladies may need done. We do not work nights or on the weekends. Our hours are from 7:30 to 3:30 with exception of the days where an install may go long. We do all of Richmond American Homes models so there will be an occasional out of town job. The company pays for hotel and food when out of town it is usually only for one night. The installation of custom draperies is a dying trade but for the right individual a great job opportunity.
