Daunte Wright did not deserve to die. First, I’m a young(25 yr old) Black man. I’ve not been arrested and I have not committed a crime so never had to deal with the courts or jails. Can someone pls tell me why he tried to escape? He knew he had a warrant out for his arrest. The Police told him he was under arrest. Why would he try to run away from his problems? He would’ve been arrested, charged and most likely pay bail to get released back into society. Highly unlikely he would’ve had any weapon pulled due to his compliance. He was not going to get away, eventually would be brought in. Charges worsen for fleeing, as they should. I just would like to know why he would try to escape? I can’t imagine what he was thinking so please help me understand. I’m just trying to understand. Thanks for any info you can share.
