An established Residential Design & Build Renovation company located in Franklin, MA area is seeking a Finished Carpenter and laborer for residential renovation projects. The company has been in business for 11 years. Responsibilities for Finished Carpenter: • Framing and layout • Installation of doors, windows, cabinets, in-closet storage systems, staircases & railings etc. • Simple & complex trim and crown modeling • Other items as assigned or defined by project scope • Perform assignments within the allotted time for the project to remain on schedule • Maintain clear, daily communication with the Owner about job progress and issues • Alert the Owner when carpenter/subcontractor work does not meet the company’s quality standards • Use protective materials to ensure the property is not damaged • Keep workspace tidy, and job site clean at the end of the day • Does NOT leave project task completion for the punch list phase To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future. In addition, to be a good fit for the Finished Carpenter opportunity, you will have: • Basic understanding of specialty trades and subcontractor roles (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, painting, etc.), and can work and communicate with them effectively • Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation • Proficient in English • Excellent interpersonal skills-building positive relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors • Respectfully interacts with clients, subcontractors, and the crew • Accessible to phone/internet at all times to access job records and communicate throughout the day • Able to work as part of the team with shared company growth interests. Listen well to customers, respond respectfully, and escalate change requests to the Owner • Eager to learn and build skills and expand knowledge • Ability to work independently Work environment: Residential property, hazards, interior and exterior, temperature range from -0 to +100 degrees. Includes working in cramped and high spaces. Physical demands: Climb stairs, use ladders, and scaffolding to multi-levels and roofs. Lift up to 60+ lbs. Frequently shift between, standing, and kneeling. Expected hours of work: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 30-minute unpaid meal break. Optional Saturday work. Report 5 minutes before the start time. Available for optional overtime hour Travel: To and from client and vendor locations
