General Maintenance Worker Overview: Pediatric practice in Peabody, Massachusetts is looking for a General Maintenance Worker. We have an immediate need for a dependable, well-organized individual to join our team. The right maintenance technician will be able to take direction and be self-motivated. This is a 30 per week position. Candidates should have strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair issues. Responsibilities include: • Responding to facility issues • General minor repairs and maintenance • Coordinate with site personnel for general facility tasks, repairs and maintenance • General facility support tasks including ordering office and business supplies. Shipping or delivering packages as necessary. Ordering kitchen supplies. Inventory control of printer cartridges • Schedule and oversee periodic inspections such as fire extinguishers • Ordering computer equipment as necessary as well as help with setting up • Move equipment and or supplies as required • Maintain storage facilities and occasionally move items • Manage employee badges and take photos • Maintain orderly and debris-free stockroom • Assist with logistics of on-site projects and special functions • Assist with space planning and renovation projects • Perform other duties as directed Requirements: • Ability to travel to all five offices, is required. • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance for traveling to other locations and errands. • Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Ability to troubleshoot and suggest the course of action • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality. • Able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, sit, talk, hear, stand, bend, walk; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use repetitive motions of the hands and wrists
