Description

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to perform general warehouse labor. Key Responsibilities: · Receives material. Loads and unloads material from delivery vehicle. · Checks material against documentation for proper nomenclature, identification and quality. · Sorts, counts and checks received goods, raw materials, finished or semi-finished parts and subassemblies. · Stores articles in proper location. · Pulls items, issues material, supplies, components and parts from stock. · Communicates with purchasing Department and informs of Shortages and reorder points. · Reviews status of shortages, back order files and inventory status reports. · Keeps stock in orderly arrangement. · Researches part numbers · Maintains documents and files · Utilizes small hand tools, scales and operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, skids, pallet handlers and hand trucks.. · Assists the production floor with any shortages; pulls the parts/ issues the parts/ delivers the parts to assembly. · Assists in answering and responding to supervisors on inventory stock. · Responsible for breaking down all packaging materials for disposal. · Performs cycle counts as determined by senior management. · Maintains the cleanliness of the Shipping / Receiving area, includes the hardware and fittings area. · Loads and unloads material from delivery vehicle. · Assists on performing audit locations to verify parts are where they are supposed to be. · Assists in determining if parts are obsolete or defective /unusable. · Preferably be forklift certified. Job Requirements: · High school diploma or general education degree (GED) · Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. -Ability to adhere to Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance procedures. -Be able to lift up to 35 pounds
