CG/Mid-America has rapid expansion plans over the coming years. THE POSITION CG/Mid-America is looking for a full-time Environmental Technician in the Carthage Missouri area. As a Technician, you will be required to have a valid driver’s license, good work history, flexibility to work non-standard hours when needed, and the ability to lift 40lbs. CDL and/or endorsements are not required but a plus. May require travel. Training will be provided for qualified applicants. This is an hourly position with a 90-day probationary period. Pre-employment and random drug screening are required. Safety training will be provided. TASK REQUIREMENTS • Follow appropriate safety procedures for handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials. • Inspect vehicles and trailers to ensure proper mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in safe working conditions. • Be able to work in confined spaces. • Ability to wear of respiratory protection. • Ability to work well with others and be self-motivated. • Must be on-time. • Have a polite and courteous attitude towards customers and fellow employees. • Availability to respond to emergencies when called. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Strong work ethic. • Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing. • Ability to work within a team or independently as required. • Flexibility to work non-standard hours and in all types of weather conditions. • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, and national laws. • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words. • Knowledge of laws relating to EPA, OSHA and DOT regulations • Knowledge of identifying potential safety risks ahead of time.
