Description

Please stop flagging my post, there's nothing wrong with it. I have Pancreatic Cancer, my time is limited, I have no choice but to re-home my Girl Peyton…a very healthy female German Sheppard (Belgian Malinois) PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE CONTACTING ME ABOUT PEYTON. Rehoming fee of $100 IF you do NOT already have another animal in the home, and in need of an Emotional Support Animal, she would be perfect for you. Peyton is a Very Lovable Dog. She is Not an Apartment Dog. She needs a fenced yard to run and play. She would be best if the only dog in the home if possible. However, she currently lives with two other smaller dogs. Introductions were interesting to say the least but after a short time there was no issue…cannot guarantee the same results with larger dogs or cats. PRO’s: She is young…approx. 3yrs old, but still very much a pup at heart, and trainable. She has been spayed She has been chipped She travels well in vehicles She does not bark unless there is a reason to. In fact when I found her at SpokAnimal she was the ONLY dog Not Barking like the others, during any of the times I went to see and adopt her. She understands a lot of general commands. - She even understands when you talk to her as if she were another human, and how I speak to her She is house trained, and will hold it until she cannot any longer ( She will then begin to pace or sit and stare at you ). The longest ever left alone in the house has been approx. (4) four hours. She is at her full size now as she is Belgian Malinois - ( UNTRAINED as a protection animal ) however still young enough to be if you wanted, but I wouldn’t as she is a total lover right now, perfect for a Support Animal and I wouldn’t want to change her demeanor as such. She has shown to be protective of family and property already, and I believe that is more than enough. She will stick to you like glue and only wants to please She is a very good Emotional Support Animal She is good with people and children – a pure lover She has shown to be good with smaller dogs once introduced and understands they wont hurt her. - it just takes awhile for her to warm up to them, she currently lives with two smaller dogs. CON’s: She is not entirely Socialized with other dogs, but does great with humans She has issues (non-aggressive / unless cornered, just extremely scared) if another dog comes into her home, but the exact opposite if brought into a place where they already exist. I believe her issues came while running the streets in Arizona, where she has transferred from, she may of gotten pack attacked by other dogs / coyotes – hence the fears. It will break my heart to see her go, but something that has to be done while I can and know she won’t end up back in Jail ( so to speak ) Peyton will come with the following items: - Kennel ( Black Wire w/ 2-entrances and Large enough for her size ) o We used this at first at nights only as she was very inquisitive and would get into things at first. Locking the door. o We then only used it to keep her in while gone from the home to ensure she did not get into anything. Locking the door. o We then only used it day & night for her to use as a place to go to for security. Leaving the gate open, then removed. - Body Harness ( No-Pull Style ) o This is a full body harness as she demonstrated the ability to get out of a normal harness if she wanted o We also got this to act as a “Thunder Vest” as Thunder Storms and Fireworks stress her out - Matching colored and Military style Leash - A multitude of Toys / Balls - A couple of blankets for her sense of security. So what I really do want, is that Peyton be with a Veteran, who needs an Emotional Support Animal and who knows this breed of German Sheppard. She is a working dog, and needs to be mentally stimulated everyday and played with. ( We play ball every morning, and Yes, even in the snow, which she loves by the way and this is only her Second Year with snow, as she is originally from Arizona. )
