Description

We need to hear from our community in order to establish 10-year community goals! All are welcome for the Gardiner Community Conversation. One of the best ways to learn what’s important to people is to sit down and have a conversation. Please join us for one of several public Community Conversations to share your concerns and aspirations for the Kennebec Valley region. We are striving for participation from community members of various ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and experiences. Interpreters will be available as needed. Participants will be entered to win a $50 gift card at the end of each session. What safety protocols will be followed? For all public, in-person community conversations (indoor and outdoor), please wear your mask and remain six feet apart from fellow attendees at all times. Why is United Way hosting Community Conversations? United Way of Kennebec Valley, in partnership with dozens of community leaders, is spearheading a broad effort to establish 10-year community goals in health, education and financial stability. These measurable goals will be community-set and community-achieved by the people who live, work and/or play in southern Kennebec County. Ultimately, we aim to have hundreds of organizations and individuals united under our community’s shared vision, which we all worked together to create. Goals will be set based on community conversations with and surveys of diverse and numerous people in spring 2021.
