Part time Dock Master / Handyman Duties and Responsibilities: **Please send Résumé for consideration** • Contract Dock Master o Pay scale - Hourly @ $25.00 / hour o 10 – 14 Hours per week with additional hours at Management Companies request for maintenance issues. • Experience and abilities: o Knowledge and Experience with boats o Personable with members and public o Handy with tools and capable of general maintenance/handyman duties o Live close to marina, ideally in condos or townhomes or on boat. • Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Walk docks once per week and maintain list of slips containing boats. a. List maintenance issues like bad boards, missing electric covers, missing backflow preventers, plumbing water leaks, etc. b. List any dock, finger piers or individually owned build downs requiring maintenance and provide list to Management Company. c. List any boats needing maintenance and provide list to Management Company. d. Adjust boat lines if needed and notify boat owner. e. Notify boat/slip owners (and Management Company) of Boat alarms, waterline changes or other issues threatening boats in slips. f. List rules violations such as items stored on docks, trash, unauthorized/uninspected new boats, etc. and provide list to Management Company. g. Notify and/or remedy above according to instructions. 2. Perform minor repairs as noted in weekly walks or as directed by Management Company. a. Replace individual dock boards. b. Fix PVC plumbing leaks. c. Replace faucets and backflow preventers. d. Replace electrical outlets. 3. Review trailer lot weekly and provide a monthly list of all trailers present on the 25th of the month to Management Company. a. Provide lease forms to slip owners for new trailer storage. b. Place Trailer Sticker with lease number on new trailers. 4. Review cars parked in Marina Parking lot for appropriate Marina Parking tags and provide list of non-compliant cars to Marina Manager. 5. Read electric meters monthly and provide readings to Management Company. 6. Oversee and assist contractors doing major repairs by posting signs, directing lumber and dumpster deliveries, etc. a. Report any contractor deviations from written contract or construction standards. 7. Turn off and drain water pipes during periods forecast to be below freezing temperatures. a. Post signs of planned water shut-off as soon as anticipated or known. 8. Turn off electric panels during hurricane or other high-water events. a. Post signs of planned electric shut-off as soon as anticipated or known. 9. Turn on power to slip for newly inspected boats entering marina. 10. Provide Board of Directors monthly report summarizing activities and providing recommendations if any. 11. Attend monthly Board Meetings in person or electronically via Zoom.
