In honor of Earth Day, join Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker in a cleanup at Four Mile Run Park. In honor of Earth Day, join Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker in a park cleanup. Given COVID-19 safety protocols, you must RSVP in order to attend so that we can make sure that the group size is appropriate. Upon arrival, participants must agree to and sign a liability waiver, and participants under age 18 must have it signed by a parent/guardian. Participants are required to wear a face mask when arriving, as well as any time appropriate physical distancing from other park visitors or clean-up participants (except immediate family members) isn’t possible. WHERE TO MEET: West entrance parking area at Four Mile Run Park, 4131 Mount Vernon Avenue. Parking is also available at 4109 Mount Vernon Avenue, and street parking can be found along the park side of Mount Vernon Avenue between the two parking lots. WHAT TO EXPECT: · Weather and wind conditions can change, so dress for comfort, preferably in layers so you can adjust as needed · Snacks, trash grabbers, bags, hand sanitizer, and gloves are provided We intend to wrap up by 11:00 am, but it is fine if you need to leave earlier. WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: · Face mask · Closed-toe shoes with good traction · Reusable water bottle
