Apprentice Carpenter Job Description Vierra Fine Homes is a custom home-builder based in Sonoma County. We are growing and looking to add to our strong team. We are seeking a qualified Apprentice Carpenter who can promote the interest of Vierra Fine Homes and build with superior quality, on time and on budget. Our Apprentice Carpenters represent Vierra Fine Homes to homeowners and design teams in a professional, trustworthy manner that instills trust in our company. Duties and Responsibilities: -Act as Vierra Fine Homes representative at the construction site -Ensure both quality and compliance with project requirements as directed by the Foreman or Journeyman Carpenter -Participate in weekly safety tailgate meetings and ensure overall job safety according to Cal/OSHA standards and Vierra Fine Homes Construction programs -Track, maintain and secure company owned tools at the job site -Ensure every job site is clean and safe at the end of the day -Use basic tools -Perform other duties and take on additional responsibilities as needed Requirements and Qualifications: -2 years or more experience in construction -Strong attention to detail -Excellent oral communication skills -Must have a positive attitude and be willing to follow direction Physical Demands and Work Environment: -The job requires negotiating work areas under construction -The job requires talking, hearing and the ability to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch -The job requires regular work at construction sites with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions -Ability to lift 75 lbs.
