CERT Basic ICS The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized hierarchical structure that allows for a cooperative response by multiple agencies, both within and outside of government, to organize and coordinate response activities without compromising the decision-making authority of local command. ICS ensures that the most pressing needs are met, and that precious resources are used without duplication or waste. This course will provide an overview of what the ICS is and how it operates. The goal is to provide a basic understanding of ICS and have you enhance your knowledge by taking ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800.
