Description

How Feeling Socially Isolated at Work Affects Employee Deviance Behavior Hi! I am a Master of Arts student studying Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Adler University (Vancouver Campus). I am conducting a study through a brief online survey. The study aims to see if employees who work in-person and feel they do not have enough social support at work will act in ways that harm their organization. This study will use information about personality traits to explore if feeling a lack of social support has an effect on deviant behavior. To participate: • You must be at least 19 years of age. • You are comfortable reading the survey. • Right now, you are working more than 20 hours/week in a paid position. • You have been employed for 6 months at your current workplace. • You work in-person 60% of the time. • You have been working in-person for at least the last 2 months. • You work in Canada or the United States. My research involves an anonymous and voluntary online survey. If you do not feel comfortable participating in this study, you do not have to. The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. You will answer one survey, and your responses will be used in one research analysis. The analysis will account for the relationship between personality and behavior. It will determine if employees are affected by feeling socially isolated. Your responses are anonymous – there will be no way to identify which answers are yours. You may quit the study at any time simply by exiting the survey. If you meet the criteria above and are interested in participating in this study, you may continue. https://adler.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cvbwy6dOz91TsiN I encourage you to share this poster with others in your network who fit the above criteria – more responses mean more sound research!
