Description

"Dumbo-eared" plakat type fins Red, fading to lavender in color, white edges Approximately 18 months old He came with a tank I bought, and that tank had a very high flow, so I moved him to a 10g with a sponge filter. After a couple weeks, I got tired of watching him struggle to get to the surface to eat, and moved him to a 5. He continued to struggle to get to the surface, despite all if the plants he had to rest on. After several decor changes and remodels, I finally made the decision to move him to a 2.5 g tank, again with tons of plants, where he continues to struggle. I have treated him for everything I can think of, though he's never shown signs of illness. Methylene blue, general cure, erythromycin, prazi-pro, even Ich-X, and nothing changes. He definitely has trouble swimming, and it seems to be an issue with his find. A month ago, they looked fine. Right now, he looks very ragged. I'm all out of ideas on what to do with this poor thing, and I'd like to find him a new home with someone who has better ideas than I do. I might be able to meet you in Belfair on the weekend, but that depends on how quickly the shop fixes my car. If you can pick him up (near Twanoh State Park), you can have him any afternoon this week. He will need a small/shallow tank, with plants and a heater to live in. I can give you several months worth of food, and his favorite floating plant to hang out in. Please note that he cannot be housed with shrimp. For all his issues, he's still agile enough to catch a kill an amano shrimp.
