I need a level five finish done on some existing drywall. The walls are painted and need to be sanded to remove sheen. Part of the level five process has already been completed the joints have been taped and mudded. However the The drywall still needs to have a second coat for level to surface. Then skim coat needs to be applied so we have a perfectly smooth surface. Do not bother contacting me about this job unless you actually know how to do a level five finish. I know it’s not complicated but I want someone that knows what they’re doing.
Level five finish involves the following.
a level five finish refers to drywall that has been taped, first and second coated, and sanded lightly to remove tool marks before applying a thin skim coat to the entire surface including the seams and field. The skim coat is sanded lightly and checked with a halogen light to look for any imperfections.
These walls are going to be painted with a semi gloss paint and lighting that will show any imperfection so the job must be done very well
