Join us for "The Crisis of Connection among Boys: Its Roots, Consequences, and Solutions."
In an age of increasing rates of loneliness and suicide, Niobe Way is an internationally recognized leader in the study of social and emotional development among adolescents. She is particularly focused on boys and young men and why they are at greater risk for such problems than girls and women. Among other topics, her work looks at the importance of friendships among adolescent boys, tracks how and why they often fall apart, and centers that loss in what she terms the "crisis of connection" that faces many men today.
This adults-only event is the third installment of the 2020-21 Browning School Speaker Series, presented with matching support from the Edward E. Ford Foundation.
