To celebrate Worcester’s unique identity and diverse residents, the City of Worcester's Cultural Development Division hosts a photoshoots. In honor of 508 Day, to celebrate Worcester’s unique identity and diverse residents, the City of Worcester's Cultural Development Division hosts an outdoor photoshoot to collect images for the “I Am Worcester” photo project. Created by a Worcester native and longtime former City employee, the “I Am Worcester” campaign showcases the everyday individuals who make Worcester the distinct, fun and dynamic city that it is. Get your picture taken for free by professional photographer, Matt Wright. No props, special outfits or gimmicks necessary! Portraits will be added to the "I Am Worcester" gallery and publicly exhibited on social media and in public locations. To participate in the project, the public are invited to register to attend the FREE photo session: • Saturday, May 5th from 11:00am-2:00pm at the JMAC - Jean McDonough Arts Center, 20 Franklin Street. • The photoshoot will take place OUTDOORS, next to the JMAC. In the case of inclement weather, the photoshoot will take place INDOORS, inside the JMAC. Strict adherence to social distancing measures will be maintained and face covering use will be required by all participants, except when getting photos taken. Participants are required to register in advance . Guests may register for one event ticket per person and are requested to arrive within the half-hour window on their scheduled ticket time.
