1st shift 6 am- 4 pm,Mon-Thurs Job Description Our client is looking for an Assembler to work closely reporting to the Shipping Supervisor to determine production needs and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.. A positive attitude and willingness to learn with a dependable work ethic is required. The Job: Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor. Latitude: The Assembler reports to the Shipping Supervisor and works closely to determine production needs, ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Essential Functions Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Position Specifications Ability to identify and measure material Ability to produce quality products consistently Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses Working conditions and environment The Assembler works in a manufacturing environment and spends a significant portion of the day on the plant floor. This position requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods. It requires the ability to stoop, bend, reach, and lift items weighing up to 70 pounds.
