This is an educational program for nursery, OB, and ED nurses, physicians and respiratory therapists who care for sick newborns in community This is an educational program for nursery, OB, and ED nurses, physicians and respiratory therapists who care for sick newborns in community hospitals.The program addresses what follows after the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, emphasizing six important areas of concern: Sugar/Safe Care, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support and Quality Improvement. This mnemonic-based program, developed by Kris Karlsen, PhD, MSN, RNC, NNP, is designed to optimize learning, retention, and recall of information. Important action items for attendees:This course will be taught using the 6th Edition learner manual.Books may be purchased through the S.T.A.B.L.E.
