Seeking twelve (12) female actors appearing approximately ages 25-50. All body types, ethnicities, and acting experience levels welcome.
Compensation: $100 per day.
Project: Documentary of nation’s only traditionally apprenticed physician-tattooer for breast cancer project. Will be given a script representing a real-life case that the actor will need to dramatize to protect patient confidentiality.
If you are a breast cancer patient with mastectomy and reconstruction, or wish to have your areolae tattooed into novelty shapes, you have the option to undergo an actual tattooing procedure for filming FREE in lieu of daily rate if you wish.
Purpose: To maximally observe patient confidentiality in creating content for national publication that showcases a very emotionally and spiritually restorative tattooing procedure done by a doctor for cosmetic restoration of realistic-appearing areola and nipples in breast cancer patients.
What will be asked of you: You will perform a simulated interview in which you dramatize the emotional experience of your “journey,” and answer a series of questions about “what you went through”. These will be based on actual patient cases. Secondly, you will be asked to simulate undergoing the procedure, and lastly, dramatize some takes of your “reaction” to the final product.
PLEASE NOTE: Will be simulating a breast tattooing procedure, therefore certain takes will be topless with MAXIMUM discretion observed. This will be chaperoned by a female at all times, and in a CLEARLY MEDICAL context. Explicit footage WILL NOT BE USED in final project. This is for SIMULATION ONLY.
