Press release from the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce : Ted McNett 04/12/2021 Several career and technical education teachers and staff from Carroll County Public Schools, along with Henrico County, Virginia, and teachers and staff and the Center for STEM Research at Hofstra University, were recognized by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) at its 83rd Annual Conference. The teachers and staff listed below received the ITEEA's Excellence in Academic Leadership Awards for Project ExCITE (Exploring Computation Integrated into Technology and Engineering). ExCITE will develop a professional development program that will serve as a model to prepare high school technology and engineering teachers across the nation to teach an Advanced Placement (AP) level one-year computer science principles course within technology and engineering classrooms.
