XL Fire Protection, a fire sprinkler subcontractor located in Henderson, NV is seeking an experienced welder/machine operator. The applicant must have excellent welding and machine skills. Must be a certified stick (Arc) welder with construction experience and a working knowledge of reading construction plans. Must have basic computer skills which include e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel Programs. Job Duties Include: Welding pipe and angle iron Make deliveries and/or pick-ups as required Operate machinery as required Forklift Pipe Threader Pipe Groover Perform other duties as requested Skills/Qualifications Include: Must be certified to weld schedule 5 to schedule 40 with pipettes, grooveletts, flanges and end caps to specifications Must be certified to weld angle iron and braces to specifications Possess and maintain a clean driving record Forklift certification is a plus Must be able to operate machinery Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift over 50 pounds Other Information: We are part of a multi-state fire sprinkler contractor. You must have dependable transportation. This position may be part-time depending upon business demands (currently 32 hours per week).
