A introductory workshop for people in recovery who would like to learn how to use the philosophy and practice of yoga in their recovery.
No matter what you are in recovery from... any addiction comes down to the same principles: attachment to pleasure and avoidance of pain.
This is the perfect workshop for anyone who is in recovery from any kind of addiction (substances, food, even codependency and relationship addiction) who would like to discover how yoga can help them recover and experience joy and peace of mind along the journey.
If you have been in recovery for some time and you would like to learn new tools to help you find peace and contentment, this workshop is for you as well!
In this workshop you will learn:
Why we do what we do. It is from this place of understanding where lasting change begins. What yoga is and how it can help you recover. While cultivating self-forgiveness and inner stillness. The causes of suffering that lead us to our habits. And how you can be free of them. The things that we need to feel whole and fulfilled in life. And how to fill that void with positive habits.A Yin Yoga sequence that you can use anytime you need to release the tension and find stillness.Breathwork that will center you at any time of day or night.A compassionate self-forgiveness exercise that will help you fall back in love with the most important person in your life... you. This will be a community-building event where people in recovery can connect, go deep within and create deep and lasting changes in thought processes and behavior patterns... together!
