YGL ATL is partnering up with Unite for Youth to celebrate Earth Day! Join us as we ready the community garden to welcome back students! YGL Atlanta and Unite for Youth are teaming up in honor of Earth Day to prepare the community garden at Omni International School (3940 Cascade Rd SW, ATL 30331) for the student's return in May. The International Peace Garden is managed by Unite for Youth and serves as an educational and entrepreneurial resource for youth to learn about botany, urban ecology, climate change, consequences of urbanization and how to heal the environment. Volunteers will help revitalize the garden through horticulture, beautification, composting, garden redesign and much more! This is an outdoor event so be sure to come prepared with masks, sunscreen, closed toe shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Sanitizer and a light lunch will be provided.
