Description
OAK LAWN, IL — April is Autism Awareness Month, and the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn has partnered with a.c.e. therapies to host a sensory friendly play session. This special play session will take place on from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 14.
The play session is designed for children who could benefit from a more relaxed and quiet museum experience. The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn, 5100 Museum Drive, is offering a reduced admission of $7 for nonmembers, $5 for museum members. Advance tickets are required. Space is limited.
While you're visiting the museum, a.c.e. therapies has also created a tree in the museum for Autism Awareness Month. Stop by the art room to design your own puzzle piece to add to the tree. The children's museum loves group art work, especially one that celebrates diversity, kindness and understanding.
