There are 9 days remaining to help Hope and Friendship Foundation fill some bags with much needed assistance. Each year for the past 12 years, Hope and Friendship has coordinated the "Give the Gift of Spring Cleaning Outreach". The request is simply for anyone who can to purchase a "plus one" of items needed for the Spring Bags!!! Drop off donations of any and all cleaning products, paper products, or personal care items from through Wednesday April 21st to the bins located in the Lemont Park District Centennial Building and the CORE, or to the bin located at Starbucks.The homes we are hoping to help need the same items that yours does: detergent (laundry & dish); spray cleanings and disinfectants; sponges; toilet paper; paper towels; deodorant; shampoo; soaps; feminine products; razors; etc. All cleaning products; paper products; and personal care items for men, women, and youth are needed. What your home needs the homes we hope to help need as well. Those that do receive Lemont Food Pantry, or SNAP assistance, can not use the funds offered to purchase these basic needs. Each year Hope and Friendship works to rally donations to offer a small amount of assistance in the form of these needs for the home in the Spring and at Christmas.
