Deerfield's Storti Earns Spot on 2020-21 UW-Whitewater Golf Roster Kelly Storti, a native of Deerfield and graduate of Deerfield High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team during the 2021 spring season. Storti, a senior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in communication. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team begins competition for the 2021 season this Friday and Saturday at the Carthage Spring Invitational. The Warhawks last competed in October 2019, claiming their third straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and placing fourth at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational before the cancellation of the spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. UW-Whitewater is currently ranked 20th in the Women's Golf Coaches Association Division III Coaches Poll. — Merit Pages News Deerfield's Stern Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Scott Stern, of Deerfield, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Stern was initiated at Fordham University. Stern is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction. — Merit Pages News Stay Patched In!
