Ah it's been such a long time since I was able to have the best pizza -- Sila's in Berkley. It was something I grew up having on a regular basis and after moving would occasionally make the long drive to pick up some to bring home to the fam.
The pizza is long gone due to another restaurant's conquest to expand. At a time I thought that this competitor was better, but when I returned to Sila's I realized I was mistaken...
Because I can no longer have it, I have longed to try to search for any/or replicate the recipe: the perfectly balanced sauce, and the cheese that feels like there was a hint of parm, the dough that felt like New York, and their tradmark italian sausage that was like no other pizza place.
