We are seeking a General Mechanic to join our team at our Miramar location at Miramar, California. Summary: Helps with repairs and overhauls on trucks, large diesel vehicles, on road trailers, other automotive vehicles and all types of farm equipment (tractors, trailers, canning machines, etc.). Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Examines vehicle or equipment and discusses with yard mechanic nature and extent of damage or malfunction. • Plans work procedure. • Raises vehicle or equipment, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle. • Helps remove unit such as engine, transmission, or differential. • Helps with disassembling unit and inspects parts for wear. • Helps with repairs or replacing parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings. • Repairs or replaces starters, and pumps. • Helps to rewire ignition system, lights, and instrument panel. • Helps to adjust brakes, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator. • Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers. • Helps with repair all mechanical malfunctions on any and all equipment within the agricultural enterprise. • Be able troubleshoot weld. • Acts responsibly and safely at all times. *Candidates that are interested and qualified for this position should email resumes to [email protected] or call Leo Orozco (714) 920-0092
