ALAMEDA, CA — A free COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will be held in Alameda this Saturday. Even though California is opening vaccines to everyone age 16 and over as of Thursday, the Alameda clinic will be limited to people age 50 or older. People with specific conditions or in special groups will also be included: caregivers, and individuals with a physical or mental disability, or conditions that put them at the highest risk. The clinic will be held at Mastick Senior Center. To schedule an appointment, call the City of Alameda Vaccine Hotline at 510-747-7512. If an appointment is not available, you will be added to a waitlist for a future clinic. The mega-vaccination site at the Oakland Coliseum continues to operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Vaccine appointments can be made at My Turn CA or by calling 833-422-4255. According tot he City of Alameda, 38,583 Alamedans, 60-percent of everyone 16 and older, have received at least their first shot and 40-percent are fully vaccinated.
