Nonsmokers aged 18-40 years are needed for a study investigating the effects of cold-water exposure on cardiovascular health. Subjects must not be pregnant, trying to conceive, or undergoing treatment to increase sperm count. The study will involve one 30-minute screening session and one 2-5-hour study session. The study session will include 15 minutes of lying in a cold bath (50°F). Subjects must not have a cardiovascular disease or any other chronic diseases. This study is being conducted in the Department of Human Physiology at the University of Oregon. Subjects will be compensated for their participation in this study.
