Join Veronica Batter of Rockdale Art Center at CCHC in an oil painting workshop inspired by 18th Century tavern signs from our collection! Learn about 18th century painting and create your own oil painting with step by step guidance based on local tavern signs. Choose to paint the image from the Green Tree Tavern sign or the Black Horse Tavern sign on a specially prepared 9x12in wood panel. Staff from CCHC will demonstrate how artists of the past achieved the brilliant colors you see in famous art from around the world. All materials provided for this 2 hour workshop that is perfect for beginner and intermediate painters who love local history. Complimentary glass of wine is included in ticket price. You will be asked to choose which tavern sign you would like to paint during the checkout process. Please choose either the Black Horse Tavern or the Green Tree Inn. Due to Covid restrictions, space is limited for this class. Masks will be required at all times, and social distancing will be enforced.
