Description
Our dear friends at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore have been designated as beneficiaries for the Vintage Market Days event in Hilliard! Our dear friends at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore have been designated as beneficiaries for the Vintage Market Days event in Hilliard! Vintage Market Days® is an upscale vintage & vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market, featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home décor, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings, and a little more. The Market is a three-day event held two times/year in varying communities throughout the United States. Instead of our typical monthly volunteer activity at the north ReStore, we will be helping at the front gate, handing out re-entry wristbands and helping at the merchandise table; as parking attendants taking parking fees and directing vehicles to parking spaces; and in the loading zone assisting customers and vendors and helping to load purchased goods. 1-2 volunteers will also be representing Habitat’s ReStore at their booth. When: Friday, April 23rd 3pm - 5pm Where: Franklin County Fairgrounds, 4951 Northwest Parkway, Hilliard, OH 43026 Event Leader(s): [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: All Columbus Gives Back volunteers are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing as appropriate to complete volunteer tasks. Volunteers who are sick, especially with fever or the growing number of Covid-19 symptoms, should stay home. We highly recommend that our volunteers wash their hands, use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the event, and/or wear gloves. We will follow whatever safety policy our nonprofit partners have in addition to the safety precautions listed above. Any volunteers determined to neglect these precautions and put other volunteers or the people we serve at risk will be dismissed from the event. In an effort to keep our volunteers, event leaders, and non-profit partners safe we ask that each volunteer or event leader sign up for no more than one event in a seven-day period, in order to limit the number of individuals you come into contact with if you are exposed to Covid-19. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. About Habitat ReStore: The Habitat for Humanity ReStore plays an important role in the effort to eliminate substandard housing. Your donations are sold and the proceeds offset most of Habitat MidOhio’s administrative costs-so cash contributions go directly toward building homes for deserving families. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of April 1st, outdoor social activities with masks on will be available at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your event leader or [email protected].
