Help our friends at Festa (formerly SON Ministries) throw a community festival to raise funds for their educational and summer lunch camp! Our dear friends at the Festa (formerly SON Ministries) are hosting a birthday bash and tailgate-style festival. This will be a really cool event to raise funds for their ESL programs and summer lunch camps for neighborhoods across central Ohio. We need volunteers like you to help direct traffic and keep things safe and fun for all attendees. When: Friday, April 30th 5:00pm - 8:30pm Where: Rock City Church Hilliard, 4311 Anson Dr, Hilliard, OH 43026 Event Leader(s): [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: All Columbus Gives Back volunteers are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing as appropriate to complete volunteer tasks. Volunteers who are sick, especially with fever or the growing number of Covid-19 symptoms, should stay home. We highly recommend that our volunteers wash their hands, use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the event, and/or wear gloves. We will follow whatever safety policy our nonprofit partners have in addition to the safety precautions listed above. Any volunteers determined to neglect these precautions and put other volunteers or the people we serve at risk will be dismissed from the event. In an effort to keep our volunteers, event leaders, and non-profit partners safe we ask that each volunteer or event leader sign up for no more than one event in a seven-day period, in order to limit the number of individuals you come into contact with if you are exposed to Covid-19. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. The three pillars of Festa are to feed, educate, and serve. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of April 1st, outdoor social activities with masks on will be available at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
