Starting 70’s, 80’s and 90’s Coverband

I am in the initial stages of putting together a working band (damn near every weekend, if possible) playing only recognizable hits from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. I am actively seeking several interested musicians that live in or very close to the Gulfport area. I will be very hesitant to consider anyone that lives outside of 15-20 miles from Gulfport. Please only contact me if you are reliable and have reliable transportation, have your own pro level instruments, are a serious multi-era talented cover player and can dedicated the tremendous amount of time needed along with the drama free life required to establish this project! Key expectation: There will be zero tolerance for a lack of dedication or for failure to learn material for any practice session. Everyone’s time is valuable and it must be respected by all members. Key qualifications: ***Drunks, druggies, unreliable and belligerent people need not apply!***** ***Politics and/or political views will not be discussed or promoted in this gig. Everyone has their own opinions. If you feel the need to press or discuss your political, religious or other point of views upon anyone, this is not the gig for you! Music and only music will be discussed in this gig, Period! I don’t care about your feelings on political or religious views...check them at the door and play music or move on. Once established, this will be fun and profitable for those selected to be involved. The goal is to get into the local casino, club, corporate party and festival scene. First, I would like super strong lead guitarist(s), rhythm guitarist(s) and wide range vocalist(s) (males or females) to hit me up for auditions. Second, I will seek strong Keyboardist(s) and Bassist(s) The following eight songs will be the audition material and actual set material. There are no substitutions for the audition material and you know the reason. Musicians: I am not interested in your “own version” of the songs. If you can’t play them like the like they were recorded in the correct chord sequence with accuracy and the correct feel/flow of the song, please move on you are not what I am seeking for this gig. ***Guitar players, Bass players, and Keyboardists must have the ability and skill to manipulate their sound through the use of effects, samplers, acoustic simulators, etc. to get the appropriate sound(s) for the cover material.*** ***If these songs are out of your comfort zone, please do not request an audition*** 1. Master of Puppets - Metallica Vocalists should be able to pull off all songs with accuracy and pitch without changing the key for every song. These are just eight from a complete list of 45 hits that I have compiled from the era’s listed. Songs are from one spectrum to the other. You must be able to play all styles and genres. Just the nature of a cover band. I will respond quickly to everyone and anyone that contacts me with interest and talent and confident they are ready to audition the eight songs. Once I get an audition ready guitarist and vocalist, I will schedule the live auditions immediately. Auditions will be held at my home studio in north Gulfport. All auditions will be video and audio recorded. Remember, please be patient in the beginning as this will take some time to get the right combination of talented people. I will keep everyone updated weekly on the progress of the auditions and selected band members.
