I tried at work. I tried socially. I tried Match and the rest. So I'm trying here. Straight male, looking for potential long-term committed relationship. There's no way we'll know unless we meet, and that's the end of it. You MUST have a sense of humor, be honest, be reasonably self-deprecating, but also have a sense of pride, and be fiercely loyal when merited. You must be in shape, but not fitness-obsessed. Does this sound like a bit much? It describes me perfectly, and I'm a normal person. Life is EXTREMELY short. I just experienced this again firsthand recently. I'll go to my grave single before I get involved with the wrong person. But I believe the right one is out there somewhere for both of us, and I believe if we meet, we'll both benefit.
