Description
Musically active cover band, seeks bassist for long-term relationship. We're unconventional, we stay away from all the tired songs every other cover band plays (think Play That Funky Music, Sweet Home Alabama, Uptown Funk, you know the rest!!) and we play songs everyone recognizes but nobody else plays (Vehicle by Ides of March, Let's Go Crazy by Prince, Black by Pearl Jam, Show Me How to Live by Audioslave, Cracklin' Rosie by Neil Diamond, etc.) and we do this across 7 decades of music. From Chuck Berry to Black Keys, including Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, AC/DC, INXS, Billy Joel, Billy Idol, Cars, Audioslave, Alice in Chains, White Stripes, James Brown, Maroon 5... and many many more. You might say we're musically schizophrenic, but all our personalities are good people and it's love at first note for our audiences! Swipe right if you enjoy: continually learning new songs (we don't play the same 40 songs for years), practicing at least once each week to get tight with your bandmates, contributing to our established and well-received musical vision, bringing energy to practices and shows.
Move on if you have: control or ego or anger or communication issues, a schedule so full of other projects and commitments that it prevents you from practicing each week and playing out at least twice each month, or the inability to recognize you're no more perfect than everyone else. We all have day jobs and we seek someone similar - who remembers this is rock-and-roll and not meant to be flawless. We'd much rather have a bassist who makes and admits mistakes and works with bandmates to get better and tighter... than be stuck with a prima donna finger pointer looking for a payday.
