A lot of my posts get flagged for removal, so this post is mostly for the Craigslist moderators, and not so much people who read this section. I'd be amazed if one of them stayed up for more than 24 hours. this is just my opinion, but I also root my opinions in facts and figures, and I am influenced by the scientific method. I find the flagging system subject to abuse. I think what Craigslist really needs to do with this section is charge $1.00 per post and make them unremovable. Part of the terms of service would be that if law enforcement contacted Craigslist.org regarding a post, then the offender get suspended/banned from the platform. This would go a long way to protect free speech. People won't go to the police if I put up a post talking about the gold standard, marijuana legalization, or what's going on with elected officials. Elected officials should be, and ought to be subject to constant criticism. If they don't like it, don't run for office! Calling people names is a sign of a less intelligent opinion, so people might call the President names. But, I also think that the quality of posts would improve if people had to pay for it. The United States is a republic, but people are confused and think it's a Democracy. A republic and a democracy are not the same thing. This is a fact, and most people would have a hard time disputing it, but are welcome to try. Nothing here is worth flagging, so I'm just wondering if I'll get an actual response.
