Fancy Mom celebrated their soft opening with their first show at Slim's before the pandemic shut everything down. Over a year later, we are fully vaccinated and ready to get things moving again. We are looking for new members. We are searching for a bass player who can commit to a weekly practice, who is musically collaborative and wants to play shows when it's possible again. Because the opportunities for playing shows are slim, we will focus our effort on recording an album over the summer. Fancy Mom is currently two guitarists and vocalists who practice in a basement in SE Portland. Our influences include X-ray Spex, Shocking Blue, Siouxsie and the Banchees, Penetration, Go-go's and more. We would like to hold auditions in early May. We will send you a few songs to work on in advance of the audition.
