Learn guitar from a friendly, patient professional with years of teaching experience and a performance/ composition of music degree in music from Berklee College of Music. Boston. I have performed at Jazz at Marciac (France), Montreal Jazz festival (Canada), NYC Winter Jazz fest (NYC), The Red Sea International Jazz festival (Israel), and many others. Lead, Rhythm, rock, jazz and folk song structure and the essentials of music theory are explained quickly and simply. In addition, lessons cover all aspects of Jazz improvisation, including chordal studies, harmonic rhythm, and leading tone harmony (how to create spontaneous melodies that conform to given chords), and composition. All levels and ages welcome, references are available on request. Valuable exercises, techniques, patterns and just the right amount of theory will put you on the fastest possible path to performing and creating your own style. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs. Rate: $60 an hour / $50 for 45 minutes. Lessons are in downtown Manhattan / Battery Park City.
